I wish. I know a former Conservative counsellor who thinks she brought in the best budget since Thatcher and it was sabotaged by the ‘woke bankers’ crashing the markets.

Is she also a bit thick… Yes. There’s genuinely very few successful politicians deserving of that slur.
We could have done with someone who had a plan to deal with rate shocks, it demanded a political and economics genius basically. The Tory membership was the absolute worst subsection of society to be electing a leader at that time.
Really they needed someone who’s economically literate. But I don’t think the party has anyone like that in the upper echelons. So that’s RIP for the Tory party realistically. Political suicide accomplished.
