It’s good advertising for them. In all seriousness, I’m sick of this country importing all that junk. There’s a group I enjoyed being part of but one particular person seems to be obsessed with posting about him. Too many idiotic agitators…
Why are they getting involved in this shite? Bet they stock other authors who have said or done worse
A good book is a good book regardless of the author’s personal opinions about politics.
Who gives a shit about an American podcaster to the point your removing books. Freaks
Never heard of them before but good to know I should avoid them
Bet Stephen King is raging at this huge loss of income
Haha I doubt Stephen fucking king is losing any sleep over Belfast books
He’s arguably the most famous author on the planet
Chapters in Dublin has an excellent second hand range online if anyone’s looking for an alternative
it was stupid to make up something kirk said especially since he’s actually said much worse shite.
like when he said black people were better off as slaves because they committed less crimes or when he said when he sees a black pilot his first thought is if he’s qualified or when he said public executions should be brought back and children should have to watch it or when he said muslims are planning to conquer europe via demographic replacement or when he said trans people are an abomination to god or when he said the civil rights act was a mistake or when he said abortion is worse than the holocaust.
I can’t respect any bookshop that bans books.
I’m sure Stephen will be devastated by the loss of this shop nobody ever heard of lol
This is advertising lads
Seems to be a trend for them, I belive they also refuse to stock Irvine Welsh books over comments he made about a Rangers player.
“America brain” is something that needs studied.
Still keep good stock of jk Rowling id imagine.
Because the town in IT is named Derry, not Londonderry? Or the other thing in the IT book?

I loved the responses from Yanks saying “where is Belfast books? I’ll be shopping there!” as if it’s going to make any difference to the book shop or King
Belfast Books, just the worst Loyalist bigot.
Yer man is exactly the type you’d expect to be sticking up for the far right and Charlie Kirk
What a wab.
I agree with King. Kirk would have thought about doing precisely that. Supposed religious nutbag and all he was.
Excuses, we all know it’s because Stephen King sets his stories in Derry instead of Londonderry
Someone might want to tell Belfast Books that Charlie Kirk did make a case for stoning gay people. A YouTuber called Ms Rachel used bible verse, during I believe Pride Month, to explain why she is a good person. Charlie’s response was to call being gay a sin, and that the part of the bible she’s referring to also calls for the stoning of gay people and called it gods perfect sexual law or something to that extent.
So the hypocrisy of Charlie Kirk continues even if death, as the man would use the bible to explain and justify his bigotry, and yet when someone picks a better part of the better to base their faith around he has to twist it into something that involves going after gay people.
Why do they take action after he corrected his error? Do they prefer the sentiment that he first posted?
Performative bullshit on their part
The Long Walk is a pretty good film.
Just get a library card. Support libraries
Charlie Kirk said stoning gays was ‘God’s perfect law’ so Stephen King was in fact right, and didn’t need to apologise…
Belfast corner shop refuses to stock worlds most famous author, I bet he’s shitting himself.
I can respect any man that *actually* apologises for stuff.
Haven’t been in Belfast for years – but I have a mind to go now and not buy anything from Belfast books.
Are they online? If they are it would save a journey – I could stay at home and not buy something.
use of the word “inchoate” tells you how tight his sphincter is, he will probably write a letter to The Times about it to.
Can still buy Neil Gaiman books there tho 🤔
*”Go further.”*
Shut the fuck up you knobs.
For a second I thought they misspelled “incoherent”. That would have been funny. So I learned a new word today…
I dont understand this at all. King has apologised constantly for his very ill informed comment but he’s being treated like he never apologised. Is this how it is now, your punished for owning up to your mistakes as if you never owned up in the first place. This is abuse.
He didnt advocate it, but deeply implied it was acceptable
The guy who runs that is a right wing looper and an attention seeker. Not worth paying attention to. Which is sad because I’d otherwise be happy to see a bookshop in North Belfast.
Inchoate? Well he’s definitely still got a few thesauruses in stock anyway
Questionable business model. You sell books, but you will not stock one of the best selling authors of all time? I have some logic that may appeal to you.
Thing is Stephen King was actually correct and should never have been forced into a stupid apology anyway.
Kirk was and will always remain an utter bigot.
These cunts will go out of business soon. They’re too loud with their political views. You’re a book shop. Shut up and just sell books
Not sure why anyone gives a shit about Kirk. Didn’t deserve to die but anyone who agrees with his far right views needs to give their heads a wobble.
