Denmark is initiating a system integration project for Ukraine– the Ukraine Transition Program– with a budget of €375M. The program focuses on three main areas: supporting resilience and early recovery, enhancing energy security and transitioning to green energy, and developing democratic institutions. This three-year initiative aims to increase Ukraine’s resilience, help meet the population’s urgent basic needs, facilitate the shift to a green economy, improve conditions for private sector growth, and promote reforms necessary for EU accession.

Additionally, Danish companies are ready to invest in Ukraine’s recovery. One example is Vaekstkapital Group ApS, which is considering building housing in Mykolaiv. The company has successful experience in executing similar projects in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, handling everything from design to construction.

Meanwhile, Switzerland also seeks to encourage more private companies to participate in Ukraine’s recovery efforts. Draft legislation has been registered in Switzerland that would establish a legal framework for procuring goods and services from local companies for Ukraine’s needs using public funds.
