  1. I know how to prevent all this death and make peace.

Go back to your own country.

  2. Pretty interest that they can drop mines from that high

  3. What is the mine mechanism? Laser, radar, anyone have any idea?

  4. Christ, these things must pack a punch the point guy in the second clip and the group in the last clip just seem to go offline.

  5. That’s some gnarly effective fragmentation goddam.

Especially for something that looks relatively short.

  6. Those are powerful, holy shit rocket on a stick!

  7. What are they carrying that makes them turn into a roman candle?

  8. Remotely placed or remotely detonated?(Or both)

  9. I’ve been waiting to see these in action for a long time! It’s amazing what they’ve created.

  10. I understand that Russians could already know about this things but why still show how they do it? Why not try to keep it in the shadow for longer?

  11. Being able to choose when to detonate these mines is commendable, and by the looks of things just as effective on target…

  12. Isn’t this a bit limited in use considering you need a drone up in the air to view and remote activate the mine at the proper time ? even on well used paths it’s bound to take hours to have a squad pass close by and I suppose you also need a specialized drone nearby to transmit the activation. Seems very labor intensive no ?

  13. I wonder how the the trigger systems work for these

  14. I’m assuming these mines are command detonated? If so, it would require nearly 24/7 overwatch by a recon drone to be effective… and these are vulnerable to EW and don’t have infinite battery lives.

I feel like dropping regular old victim-detonated AP mines along trails and breaches in wire obstacle would be easier, though lacking in cool combat footage.

  15. They seem to turn into Swiss cheese. Instant lights out due to the shrapnel.

  16. New toys at the lines I see

And war gets even more scary than it already was

  17. 414th going the extra mile to make drones and related munitions nightmare fuel.

  18. I’m just wondering how these things are fuzed. Are they command detonated, do they have some kind of filament system that reacts to contact, or some kind of IR/Prox fuze?

The U.S. has some serious tech in air-dropped mines, but I imagine these are much less expensive.

  19. These AP mines aren’t the ones that only aim to maim…

  20. If that’s AP then I don’t want to even know about AT

  21. Very effective make thousands of those send them vatniks to karl marx

  22. This is like a different kind of fishing. Reminds of drop-shotting

  23. That is extreme frag. Damn. That’s such an effective weapon.

  24. Holy crap, looks like central nervous system damage on most of them.

  26. Can you imagine how many AP mines must be around Ukraine.

  27. The resourcesfulness and cunning of the Ukrainians during this war has been a sight to behold. They think outside of the box a lot on so many of their battle plans, tactics, and weapons. It’s so cool to see the evolution of things since Day 1.

The evolution of drones in particular has been so fascinating.

In my head canon, we have to thank the IT dorks that joined the war who went, “hey, so we kinda have these 3D printers and have been building and flying drones. I bet if we use these during missions we can see where the other soldiers are and fight them easier”; and then some awesome bro was like, “yo, can I put an RPG warhead on it? could it fly with one?”, and after that ended up working so well no one has ever stopped asking “what *more* can I do with these drones?”

  28. This is a great idea. Place roadside IEDs ahead of time. I didn’t know they were doing that.

  29. Holy shit what are they putting in these things the frag looks insanely effective
