Me and my colleague (coach drivers) just got back from France after going on a small weekend tour around Paris. As soon as we got to our depot, everything was fine, no tree was fallen. We put our stuff in our cars and went to front yard to park our coach. 5 mins later… we return to this. What are the chances, ay? Bloody windy day.

  1. I have a sneaking suspicion you’re being sarcastic. Can’t be sure though.

  2. I have a friend that would see this and say ‘oooh careful, it’s a bit windy today.’ Not as a joke.

  3. That tree looks like it has been dead for a very long time.

  4. Had you just had a burst of rain?

I had something similar happen to mine in the summer, where the dry spell followed by a burst of rain and gusty winds caused a tree to drop one of the upper branches onto my roof.

  5. You need to call tree fellers to get that off.

Maybe four if it’s really heavy.

  6. That’s some of that shit that famously happens. Unfortunately it happened to you. Sorry for your trouble and expense. Bum start to the week

  7. If it makes you feel better, an oak tree has written off my husbands Skoda Octavia VRS- but not in a good way. The acorns falling have dented every single panel repeatedly but the car is like a drivable golf ball.

  8. First pic…lucky that branch didn’t land on windscreen. Flicked to the second pic…oh. Ouch.

The winds are terrible right now! We have a collection of sentient bins running a race down the road.

  9. I wood hope that it’s possible to move the car without it getting hit again

  10. Ok silver lining time:

If the tree can be removed without causing further damage then you’ll most likely only have to replace the boot lid. With insurance the way it is I’d avoid calling them because even relatively easy repairs like this are being written off, after that you’re looking at years of higher premiums.

Presuming the tree was on your companies land they’d be liable so have a word about them making it right without going through insurance.

  11. At least you weren’t putting stuff in the boot when it happened
