Congressman Tom Suozzi had a private audience with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
Suozzi had the private audience after attending the International Catholic Legislators Network, an annual conference of Catholic lawmakers held just outside of Rome.
“Meeting Pope Leo XIV was a truly unforgettable moment for me,” stated Suozzi. “I am grateful for his principled messages of hope, and our audience recentered in me the power of faith and humanity in public service.”
