The new partnership will significantly enhance air connectivity between the two regions by introducing a series of new, direct flights. According to the announcement:
IndiGo is set to launch new nonstop service between India and Greece with six weekly flights to Athens from January 2026.
Aegean Airlines will complement this by commencing new service to India, with five weekly flights to Delhi and three weekly flights to Mumbai, starting in March 2026.
Greece-India connectivity set to boom
This strategic collaboration offers a range of benefits for travelers, including access to a wider selection of destinations, smoother connecting flights, and the convenience of a single itinerary. Passengers will also enjoy the simplicity of through check-in and baggage transfers for their entire journey, eliminating the need to re-check luggage at intermediate airports.
A codeshare agreement allows one airline to sell seats on flights operated by its partner airline. For IndiGo, this partnership with Aegean Airlines will open up new onward connections for Indian travelers to popular destinations throughout Greece and beyond.
For Aegean, the agreement will provide direct access to IndiGo’s vast domestic network, enabling travelers from Europe to reach multiple cities across India.
