  1. You know… I think Liam Hemsworth looks like he can pull this off and do a damn good job. Unfortunately the show is just so broken that it won’t matter… I can’t tell who this show is for anymore.

  2. The show was already going downhill fast and Cavill was the biggest draw, this will be the last season and I’m surprised that there’s anyone who didn’t see that coming.

  3. Henry wasn’t just a great fit for Gerald in terms of physical appearance but he seemed to be the only person in that show (including writers and producers) who actually read Sapkowski’s books and played the games. He perfectly understood that the books and the games have different tones and he knew where to set the middle point to please the fans.

Anyone can tell he had a lot of inputs on season 1 but the producers started to “do their own thing” mid-season 2 and season 3 is an absolute debacle.

  4. Should we adapt the source material the fans love? No. We should butcher it because we are too good to be writing this fantasy schlock. -Every fantasy show writers room for some reason

  5. Nothing will save this show, last season was absolutely horrendous

  6. People are still pretending the showrunners hate the source material I see

  7. The thing I hate the most about this show is that its killed the chances of an adaptation of the books that is actually faithful or tries to adapt it well for the foreseeable future

  8. Weird how Netflix cancels great shows after one or two seasons but seems so determined to make this one happen.

  9. They could have cast anyone from Hollywood, and the destiny the show has set for itself would still come

  10. The show was already doomed from the moment they chose the showrunner.

Getting Henry certainly managed to avoid instant destruction, but in the end, the show was made by people who hated the source material and the story.

  11. I’ll begrudgingly have The Witcher sacrificed on the altar, if it means Cavill has learned enough lessons before going in to Warhammer. The way he and the Witcher IP got fucked over by Netflix should make it easier to avoid the same mistakes with Amazon. One of the reasons the deal took so long, probably.

  12. Season 1, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Ever since they killed Eskel, I will never forgive them for continuing this shit while Archive 81 remains abandoned.

  13. For the non book readers can someone explain how the show has deviated from the source material?

  14. Geralt dies in the end of the books. So I would rather it be Liam than Henry.

  15. I am so looking forward to the next season. I don’t care that Liam is playing Geralt, I just want to enjoy the show.

  16. Disappointed fans should just stop hate watching. You can hope for a new/better try some other time.

As is I believe what gets underestimated is that as a fantasy show the Witcher remains well above average to good for the genre despite the TV show writing and adaption mishaps. It is just not GoT levels but on the average bell curve more in the middle. But there are plenty more dog shit shows around for simply fantasy fans who are not diehard Witcher fans.

So I enjoy it under that pretext even though I am disappointed at wasted potential. As its own thing I kinda like various things and given Netflix did not axe it when their main lead left so must

I just watch it as its own thing without many expectations or comparisons to the books anymore. I mainly suggest that people should watch for entertainment stuff that entertains them. If it just makes them grow a hateboner it may be good to turn to something else. Might also be the best way to create bad numbers so a studio will take note.

  17. Should’ve just cancelled the show after cavill left anyways it’s not like Netflix doesn’t cancel their shows. Henry was a big draw for general audiences I don’t think they’ll stick around without him plus with the quality of the show dropping after season 1. I knew this show didn’t stand a chance once they screwed up vesemirs character in season 2 lol and yennefers. Yennefer would never try to sacrifice ciri.

  18. I hate that the title implies Liam is the problem. I’m sure he and the other actors will do a fine job, it’s everything else that’s the problem

  19. The first 2 seasons were atmospheric , fun and and drew you into that world. The 3rd was annoying as hell, a tedious soap opera, couldn’t watch it.

  20. Ah yes the show where writers decided they could write better stuff than the OG writer and then completed fucked up.

  21. The best thing about that show is introducing me to Joey Batey and the Amazing Devil
