They always thought it was good when it cancelled the people they don’t like.

They always supported cancelling other people. And not just private citizens doing the cancelling, but also big government.
> Gregory Lee Johnson burned an American flag outside of the convention center where the 1984 Republican National Convention was being held in Dallas, Texas. Johnson burned the flag to protest the policies of President Ronald Reagan. He was arrested and charged with violating a Texas statute that prevented the desecration of a venerated object, including the American flag, if such action were likely to incite anger in others. A Texas court tried and convicted Johnson. He appealed, arguing that his actions were “symbolic speech” protected by the First Amendment. The Supreme Court agreed to hear his case.
Apparently they acknowledged Republicans could easily be triggered by freeze peach.
They don’t see it as cancel culture when they do it. They see it as “consequences for the business” ie “go woke, go broke”. They can not comprehend that “cancele culture” is the exact same thing. There is no rationality. I asked a few boycotting Budwiser back few years ago “isn’t that cancel culture?” My god did they get upset and swear that only leftist do cancel culture. They also could not explain a difference.
Yep! Remember the “twitter files”?
They were screeching how crazy it was that the government requested twitter take down posts of Hunter Biden’s dick, along with “silencing” republican voices on an app owned by a private company.
Now? The government itself is telling you to keep a list of people using their 1st amendment right and then contacting their employer to get them fired over it.
In the end, for Trump and his ilk, Charlie Kirk’s death is a “Never let a crisis go to waste” situation. None of them *actually* care about the guy, he was fodder in their system. Propping him up as a martyr to enrage the masses lets them higher levels of control.
This is far beyond cancel culture. They don’t want you to lose your job, they want you gone.
Also, feelings matter and we should care about how others feel before stating our opinions
So they got pissed off when statues of confederate generals were removed, but they don’t want you to learn about the history behind them?
“Is MAGA using the CK assassination to deflect from the Epstein files? I’m not saying one way or the other, I’m just asking questions.”
Are you saying cancel culture is a good thing and they’ve just realised it? Or are you saying cancel culture is a bad thing and they should have stuck with that view?

Baaaaa Baaaaa (sheep).
MAGA mentioned in the Bible:
Titus 1:16: “They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good deed.”

And if the gunman had sprayed the crowd with bullets instead of CK, MAGA would be all “thoughts and prayers… it’s too soon, don’t politicize!”
If it weren’t for double standards, they’d have no standards whatsoever.
