It’s bad this is the age we live in, but hopefully this will serve as a valuable lesson for those who have forgotten: media corporations, like most corporations, are fair-weather friends at best, and will happily bow to authoritianism if it’s profitable/convenient.
All the free speech protections in the world mean little if corporations engage in anticipatory obedience, and let the government dictate speech in this manner.
