Pope Leo XIV has spoken at length about the role of synodality in the life of the Church in a newly released interview in which he says synodality is “an attitude, an openness, a willingness to understand.” It means that every member of the Church has a voice and a role to play, “through prayer, reflection … through a process.” These and other thoughts will be part of a book, Leo XIV: Citizen of the World, Missionary of the 21st Century, to be published in English in 2026.
