  1. I don’t agree with this entire idea of “proscribed organisations”.

The government shouldn’t be able to define who is legitimate and who is not.

It’s weird for me that you can’t support Hamas or Hezbollah. I don’t like them myself, but they are legitimate political parties, actually resistance groups to Israeli occupation and invasion.

Like you’re gonna arrest someone just for flying that flag?

  2. You should let anyone fly whatever flag they want. It’s not their fault if they end up on some sort of list

  3. This is the far extreme case of a law that also protects the freedom of all of us.

  4. If you can fly the Israeli flag you should be able to fly whatever flag for whatever terrorist organization you see fit. None of them are as bad as Israel

  5. “isis flag”. It’s a very common flag. Variations of it have been used by many different groups and countries. People can be be afraid of it if they want, and they can also only refer to it as “isis flag” but that’s on you. The flag should be legal just like any other flag.

  6. In the USA it’s legal to fly a Nazi flag and proclaim yourself to be a Nazi. However it’s not really a problem there, since people just laugh at them. In Europe it’s forbidden to be a Nazi or display Nazi insignia, but in Germany and France they have a real neo-Nazi problem.

I think this proves that the government shouldn’t ban certain expressions. I favour the American approach of extreme freedom of speech.

  7. If the Nazi flag is allowed the be flown, then this makes sense as it is an impartial law. If it isn’t, then i have bad news, you’re advocating for the proliferation of radicalism

  8. A country that allows the isis flag has around 4 gun deaths per million versus the USA which is 4 per 100,000. It goes to show that with proper legislation you can still have freedom of expression and freedom of speech without the negatives when poor legislation exists.

Edit: got a notification saying my shorter comment was removed but it’s still visible to me. Also I can shorter comments than my original.

  9. The only thing that could be behinf this is the most stupid and drastic example of euro-imbecilism about the freedom of speech. How can someone well educated and a peofessional of law be so dumb to accept the wave of flags totally against the european ideas and society?

Wtf is next? Hezbollah? The nazi flags? A 10m tall Waffen SS flag?

I’m the first to defend the freedom of speech and the freedom to wave any flag you want… except for those flags supporting killing people for their religion, terrorist groups, etc. There must be limits and this things are totally out of this.

No wonder why we’re having the problems we have in Europe… I also wonder why the far right is eaising again in Europe, dont you?
