He bullied and gaslighted college students making condescending bad faith arguments. Now we only have the government left to provide them..
I saw one clip where a person he was talking to described themselves as queer and he just kept asking “but what does queer mean? How do you define that?”, and even though they answered, he just kept asking and acting like they weren’t actually answering it. That’s not debate. That’s being an asshole.
The Right Wing “debators” like Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, etc, never actually debate people. They go to colleges or places where they have every advantage to bully and humiliate people. They have the training, they have endless time on the microphone, and they can shut down a question they don’t like at any time.
If you have a “prove me wrong” booth, you’re not looking for honest debate. He just gaslit people that didn’t agree with him then would be demeaning when they’d get mad about it further gaslighting
Most of the time Kirk screamed over the audience. The person with the microphone always has the floor.
He did one actual debate, at Oxford, and it went about as well for him as you would think.
