Strike action across France as hundreds of thousands join protests

I’m here today to tell the government: stop giving money to big businesses as tax breaks and handouts, it is damaging society and the whole state sector. We need measures to tax the very wealthy.”

   Truly a world-wide issue

2. From my part of the world I’m seeing this presented as the French don’t want to raise the age of when they can retire by law. Where countries around them have already raised them ages ago and France is now on the verge of bankruptcy due to the strain this puts on social services.

   Can someone tell me if this is right or what is really going on?
