  2. i’d be curious to know the percentage of subscribers that actually cancelled their subscriptions. I imagine most people just ”like” the post, think they did good, and then don’t actually cancel.

  10. People were saying no one is actually gonna cancel but I think they underestimate the way people relate to streaming services these days. No one is dropping $100+/month to get all the major streaming apps, we’re just hopping between different ones as interesting shows pop up. Cancelling Disney Plus was easy for me, there’s content on other platforms I can go watch instead.

  15. Am i the only one who feels like the damage is already done? Like even if Kimmel comes back, Disney had their stance clear. Going so far as to request/ demand a donation to CK in apology, and they think putting him back on the air is going to change why we canceled our subscriptions? We didn’t cancel because we don’t get to watch Kimmel anymore. I canceled bc im not giving my money to these spinless companies anymore.

  16. Disney really set up Kimmel here to do whatever the fuck he wants to do. Under normal circumstances if he left and started a podcast or his own show, I wouldn’t care and a lot of other folks wouldn’t either. But now that Disney showed its true colors (again) then sticking it to them and Trump would make me want to consume Kimmels content. Not because I’m interested in what he’s got to say, but because it would be a nice fuck you to Disney and Trump for him to get wildly successful (again) somewhere else.

  18. I would say don’t come back and say an ‘eff you’ to the network, but he does have a group of people working for the show who will be out of a job. So I say come back and actually start going after Trump. I believe in free speech.

  31. I have come to the conclusion besides all out civil war which is not the answer the solution is as follows. US normal joes are peasants even if we have good jobs and lives as much as the world has changed over hundreds of years at the same rate it hasn’t. The rich control and influence more than they should and don’t pay their share. So to stop the Orange Reich we have to get the wealthy whether it be celebrities or just wealthy business owners. They have the connections and power to fight and influence the dethroning. we support them as they are the megaphone for our little people voices. Their influence is what our democracy says we have but that isn’t true we’re just ants in a big ant hill. We have to form a strong resistance that won’t bend the knee to our mustached president. He just can’t fight everyone and I do not understand why he continues to strip rights and get people to bend the knee with no resistance. He isn’t remotely as smart as so many other wealthy leaders and yet GOP celebrate the authoritarianism and transparent supremacy stance.

    Stop them from operating cities as theme parks. 

    We always call Disney evil and now we have a rare opportunity to get rid of that evil.
