Zelensky meets troops, says Ukraine pushed back some Russian advances • FRANCE 24 English

At an outpost in Detsk, Ukraine’s president led a ceremony to reward those fighting to protect the region and to remember those who’ve died for it. Vladimir Zilinski said a recent counter offensive has reclaimed 160 km pushing back a Russian incursion. We are now conducting one of our counteroffensive operations towards Donetsk in the Pasc and Dorilia areas and our guys are performing brilliantly. The fighting is intense but we’ve inflicted significant losses on the Russians. Russia is trying to capture the whole region of Detsk. In August its troops made rapid advances near the coal mining town of Doppilia as recorded on deep state map linked to the Ukrainian army. Now, Ukraine says it stunted the advance, reclaiming seven settlements and inflicting 2500 casualties on Russian forces. Russia did not comment on this, but President Vladimir Putin spoke of the scale of their deployment across the whole front line. There are more than 700,000 people on the line of contact. That’s more troops than Ukraine can commit. Key to its defenses are drones, which have transformed the battlefield. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met troops in the eastern Donetsk region on Thursday (September 18) and announced his army had pushed back some of the advances Russia made over the summer. Zelensky said his troops had reclaimed 160 square kilometres (62 square miles) of land near the eastern coal mining town of Dobropillia.

  19. europeans pockets aren't endless, the support will end very soon. zelensky and ukraine will go down, it's obvious. europe can risk it's citizens wellbeing and give more billions to zelensky but i really doubt europe will do such a thing again and again, unless it wants a civil war.
