  1. This is a good first step, but it’s meaningless if Netanyahu is allowed to continue his war of expansion. When Israel takes over Gaza and the West Bank, there won’t be any Palestinians left to recognize.

  2. It feels like the only significant part of this is countries breaking from the US. Especially interesting it coming just a few days after a bunch of politicians from the US congress and Senate sent out a [letter telling them not to](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F772chfhvg7qf1.jpeg).

    But what does it matter outside of that? I hope this means the EU plans to [Sanction Israel goes through.](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgr4nj7405o) And that they’re removed from [UEFA](https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-said-scrambling-to-prevent-tuesday-vote-on-expelling-country-from-european-soccer/) as well as being removed from Eurovision. I honestly think the cultural exclusion will hurt them more than EU sanctions.
