Even ignoring the obvious message the recognition sent to Hamas and others,  doing it now in the face of the most right wing administration in Israels history is utterly braindead.  Their pointless posturing successfully triggered the E1 settlement green lighting.  Literally accomplishing the opposite of what they want to achieve

  2. Israel especially under Netanyahu’s leadership has lost all credibility on the international stage.

    The UK’s recognition of Palestinian statehood is a legitimate diplomatic step at reviving the two-state solution and protecting peace but Israel reacts as if it’s being personally attacked.

    Daily violations of international law, the expansion of settlements and the blockade on Gaza have consequences.

    Now when other countries refuse to simply follow Israel’s demands it’s throwing childish tantrums . This behavior proves how isolated and reckless its leadership has become.

That is the Netanyahu regime, we can only hope the good Israelis topple this regime and instal at least a more normal government one day that will not attack people

  7. And is the U.K going to meaningfully retaliate due to Israel engaging in and continuing to commit genocide? Absolutely not. Nor are any of the other ‘defenders of the rules based international order.’ As such this is just showmanship. And, if they are so terrified of Israeli nukes there is the precedent of South Africa, but then ZA leadership was rational and not anywhere as insane as Israel.

  8. a two state solution cannot work. a one state solution with reparations, right of return, and equal rights for palestinians is the only path to lasting peace
