  1. This is bullshit. Most generational family farms don’t count the land value because we would never sell it or risk using it as collateral.

  2. So all this talk I’m hearing from farmers on YouTube about farmers going bankrupt and losing their farms because of Trump’s tariffs is 100% pure horseshit?

  3. Just like everything else in the US economy farming is a Ponzi scheme built on a foundation of massive federal spending and money printing.

The value of US industry is based on the faith people have in the US government. Wealth inequality, inflation, reckless politics, geopolitical/military bullying, unhappy population. We’re fucked, yall.

  4. Last time Dear Leader was in office he started a tariff war with China. China responded by not buying any American soybeans and other grains

China was the largest market for America soybeans etc, so this was catastrophic.

Dear Leader basically took all the tariff money paid by Americans on Chinese imports and gave it to the farmers

    Gotta protect his voting base…

  5. …..because they get free socialist money……yet to call other people socialists.

    It’s a win-win for them.

  6. Farmers are asset rich but cash poor. And the asset that makes them rich, their acreage, will devalue if China doesn’t begin buying American produce. Treasury Secretary Bessent has a lot to lose if farmland is devalued. He owns thousands of acres in N Dakota. Was to have sold it by July but has not yet. Who would buy it now? With the very real possibility of the trade war not being resolved in the near future?

  7. Well, no, not entirely. Big farms? Maybe. Small/family farms? At least here in Arkansas, they are going bankrupt, they are speaking out. 5 of them committed suicide, that I know of (this report was 2-3 weeks ago).

    Misleading headline.

  8. Yes make any sh8 up that fits your narrative and makes orange man look bad. Blame everything on the system and the government instead of trying to figure out what you can do to get ahead. Ignore all those who are, even as we discuss, work hard to build something that lasts and take calculated risks in life — that could set them back if things do not work out as expected. Instead of writing garbage like this, read about and be inspired by those who have built something great — e.g. Jenson Hwang who had a humble beginning.

  9. The average multi generational farm should be able to make it 2-3 years before they’ll have to show up at the bank. This really only hurts new farmers

  10. We need more small and medium farmers! Cause this is super fuuuuuucked.

  11. On the contrary. Revolutions do not start with starvation, they start with money. France and rich people in USA funded US independence. Then rich people funded French revolution.
