South Korea will play the final round of the 7th and 8th places on the 26th. The opponent is Syria, which is likely to finish last in Group B. If South Korea finishes the tournament in the final eighth place, it will fall to Division B in the next tournament two years later.
Korea’s female youth FIBA ranking is 15th, far ahead of the Philippines, which is 39th. Nevertheless, they edged out by 57-56 until the third quarter, just one point, and eventually collapsed in the final quarter.
South Korea lost 11 consecutive points to the Philippines early in the fourth quarter to pull it to 60-69 in the first place. South Korea, which sparked a chase with Lim Se-woon’s (Gwangju Supia Girls’ High School), tied the game 73-73 with 1:02 left, with Kim Dam-hee (Gwangju Supia Girls’ High School) and Lim Se-woon scoring eight consecutive points three minutes and nine seconds before the end of the game.

Instead of giving one free throw to the opponent, Lim Se-woon shot a two-point shot from a long distance 15 seconds before the end, but he allowed one more free throw 10 seconds before the end to tie the score. The opponent’s second free throw missed, but lost the rebound to the Philippines and lost in vain by giving up a buzzer beater.
Lim Se-woon worked hard with 31 points and eight rebounds, including six three points, and Kim Dam-hee with 26 points and 12 rebounds, including three three points.
