Moien, does anybody know if there are restrictions when depositing or exchanging old and damaged USD bills here in Luxembourg? Before I start contacting banks, was just curious if anyone has had personal experience or knows how it works.
I attached examples of the bills.
Merci!

Ouf!
I know some bills you can’t use here. Others will know better.
I think you may have some trouble because it’s kind of currency needs to be returned to the US government to get likewise cash.

In BIL you can’t deposit notes issued before 1980 or 1985 if I remember correctly.
If you need help, DM me. If you cover the postage to and from the US, I can ship it to my family in the US. They can exchange it if it’s feasible, I would need to check first. Not asking for anything in return, just trying to be a good neighbor.
