South Korea’s Business Survey Index (BSI) for the manufacturing sector stood at 70 in September 2025, unchanged from August. Production rose to 83 from 81, while new orders increased slightly to 77 from 76.
Inventories edged up to 103 from 102, and the financial situation remained steady at 80 points.
Meanwhile, the Economic Sentiment Index (ESI), which combines the BSI and the Consumer Survey Index (CSI), fell to 91.3 in September, down 3.3 points from the previous month, reflecting a modest decline in overall economic confidence.
