I’ve just had a Punky for the first time in about 30 years. It ice cream is poor quality and tiny. I remember it being much bigger (but I was much smaller). But from a nostalgia point of view, it was worth every penny.

  7. I don’t remember this fella but I do remember when I was younger and going to either Portugal or Spain, they sold ice cream in a Pingu with a little cap on him.

  13. Haha my best friend used to keep the green one under his bed and grew mould in it to try and make poison darts. When he was like 10 I think

  16. I remember my cousin’s kids having these at a wedding reception, my dad, at the time affected by a dementia related disease, liked penguins so we asked for one for him too, he was overjoyed!😄

  17. How long has it been in the freezer? Didn’t they stop making them about 20 years ago

  22. I’m from Normandy and I used to look forward to getting one of these when we went out to eat!

    The restaurant we used to go to still exists and they still do carry them on their menu as far as I know. I might try and get one someday, just for nostalgia purposes.

    Looking at the photo it looks about the right size

    They’ve always been shit ice cream though, completely flavourless from memory. The whole appeal of them is the plastic penguin
