The “source” is a decade old reddit comment that concludes with “I have no sources for any of this.”

I’ve always known goujans and tenders were the same thing this is definitely not brand new information to me 🫣😂
Bullshit. We’ve been calling them goujons since way before the Celtic tiger or GFA
Surely goujons are popular in other countries
Didn’t need AI for this.
I ordered goujons in a chippy in England once and the guy looked at me like I’d two heads
If I get a nugget and I ordered a goujon there’s going to be a difficult conversation
My work used to do “cod goujons” but the chef stopped because he got pissed off with everyone calling them fish fingers.
Google AI is so absolutely stupid. I’m rewatching Gilmore Girls and decided to Google the lyrics to one of the songs someone was singing to see what it was from. The AI told me ‘I think you are misremembering X famous quote by X random character who is not in the episode you are Googling’.
IMMEDIATELY below the AI summary was a link to a Reddit post where someone went ‘Yeah, it’s Valley Winter Song by Fountain’s of Wayne’.
I also, earlier today, Googled ‘How to get X item in Final Fantasy X.’ It decided to summarise how to get a DIFFERENT item in FFX, but changed the name to the one I was searching for.
(I have very diverse hobbies apparently)
I don’t know why they are insisting on shoving this stupid AI nonsense in, instead of having it as a separate, optional thing, but I’m so fed up with it.
There was a brief, magical time when Google’s AI genuinely thought that haggises were real creatures that roamed the Highlands. Unfortunately it has now worked out that the Scots were spinning yarns to take the piss out of tourists. Shame
I love the raméis GFA answer so much that I choose to believe it.
Goujons are breaded strips of chicken breast.
Nuggets are battered, reconstituted chicken
Tenders are the American word for goujons
Sorry man but a Goujon and a Nugget are very different animals….
Nuggets < Tendies < Goujons
Goujon is from the french word for a type of carpentry nail, which they kinda look like. It’s used, though now sparingly, in multiple English speaking countries. Like the word “press” for a cupboard but not as obsolete yet.
I was told its not used here in New Zealand till we infact saw it applies to fish.
When I hear “goujon” I think – wooden stick.
Was so confused when I saw goujons on menus.
