Prince Harry was recently in the UK for four days, followed by a surprise visit to Ukraine, and now that he’s home with his wife and two children, the Sussexes have been relatively quiet, says one royal expert.

Harry and Meghan popped up at Kevin Costner’s house over the weekend for a fundraising concert, but other than that, they’ve been keeping to themselves, which suggests they may be in planning mode, says Emma Fabiani, who runs a Meghan Markle fanpage on Instagram. Fabiani has a massive following, over 850,000 readers, and knows her stuff.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Express US, Fabiani was very happy with how Harry’s visit went, and now that he’s back stateside she expects a “period of lower visibility.”

Fabiani said: “The Sussexes have been relatively quiet, and that usually indicates preparation”

She added: “We’ll see if a new project or release arrives, but without forcing the timing.”

While in the UK, Harry met with his father, King Charles, which fueled speculation about the Duke returning to royal life in a more official capacity.

Since then, the idea of Harry resuming his role as a working royal has been shot down, with a source close to the Palace saying Charles will uphold the late Queen’s rule that members of the Royal Family cannot carry out royal duties and pursue commercial opportunities.

Fabiani touched upon the topic, saying: “On the possibility that Harry returns ‘part-time’ to the wider ‘functioning family,’ for now it is more an interpretation than a defined plan.”

Harry himself did not say he wanted to resume royal duties, it was royal watchers drawing their own conclusions.

Harry addressed the topic with The Guardian, that people seem to know what he’s thinking, that he comes across as miserable, but that’s actually not the case, it’s the opposite, and he doesn’t appreciate people speaking for him.

According to Fabiani, Harry is keeping things flexible for a reason, as not to overpromise.

She said: “It is an intentionally flexible formula, useful to keep doors open without rigid commitments”

In terms of making a return to the fold, Fabiani shared her thoughts on the matter.

“It’s an appealing idea, which many fans like, but there are no concrete signs in that direction. It remains more a hope than a plan already underway.”
