  1. “We have had discussions with executives at The Walt Disney Company and appreciate their constructive approach to addressing our concerns,” Nexstar said in a statement. “As a local broadcaster, Nexstar remains committed to protecting the First Amendment while producing and airing local and national news that is fact-based and unbiased and, above all, broadcasting content that is in the best interest of the communities we serve. We stand apart from cable television, monolithic streaming services, and national networks in our commitment — and obligation — to be stewards of the public airwaves and to protect and reflect the specific sensibilities of our communities.”

Nexstar added: “To be clear, our commitment to those principles has guided our decisions throughout this process, independent of any external influence from government agencies or individuals.”

So the mouse house told them how much money this stunt cost them already, and how much money iit would cost would cost Sinclair after Disney pulls their programing . And how much the companies that already bought ads were going to sue for, I think they had a change of heart.

  2. They were waiting for Jimmy to rant about Trump one more time before putting him back on. He shouldn’t rant even harder that he’s back on to twist the knife more to Sinclair and Nexstar

  3. I must be out of touch to think this was something. I mean, Kimmel is fine, but who cares

  4. Let this be a reminder to everyone that when we fight we win. I never thought Jimmy Kimmel a guy I don’t really think is that funny personally would be used as a rallying cry to finally wake people up but I’m glad it happened.

  5. Talked a tough game until Mickey started swinging dick

  6. I’d like to think the threat of losing NFL football games would be a big motivator.

But that is just me and wishful thinking.

  7. I’m sure the huge ratings had nothing to do with it

  8. Boycotting advertisers in my city got them moving. They only care about money. Speak their language.

  9. If they had those principles, they wouldn’t have preempted it to begin with. Full stop.

  10. I predicted back in in 2001 that by 2025, Jimmy Kimmel would be the most politically relevant and effective Democrat, but everyone just thought I was high. I was high, but I was also correct.

  11. Damn can’t even stand up for what they believe in. What a bunch of losers.

    All bark. No bite.

  12. Someone got schooled in law this week over at Sinclair shit media lmao

  13. They should feel so damn foolish. What did they win? Who did they influence? Looking like corporate slags and total failures. I don’t even like Kimmel, but I’m glad they won this one. Truck Fump.

  14. That fire awakened in the right sure is burning bright and fierce

  15. Glad to see him back on the air but shouldn’t this be the end of this story 🤷‍♂️

  16. How do i ensure spending the least amount of money directly and not creating ancillary revenue for Sinclair?

  17. I think Nexstar and that merger going to be tough going through.  The way they try to exert themselves in this seems like a vision into the future. And Sinclair not escaping this as well.

  18. Figures they buckled advertisers weren’t shelling out for an additional mins of local news nobody was watching. Refunds, giveaways, and angry clients will always push the needle quicker than ratings.

  19. Too bad ice doesn’t advertise… oh wait!?! They do

  20. I wanna see the look on the maga loving faces at the top of Sinclair and nexsyar when ABC called the up and told them how much money they lose or what kind of breach of contract they’d be in for not airing him.

  21. The Disney shareholder lawsuit has Sinclair and Nexstar worried. They really don’t want discovery to show what transpired. They will press Disney to settle to avoid discovery.
