    If you think that Burnett will release the clips (or hasn’t wiped the drives with the clips on them), then you must also think the rapture was coming this past Tuesday.

  9. We’ve known this for years. But Burnett is a Trumper who doesn’t know how to leverage these tapes for personal gain, which is why he isn’t part of the Trump Administration… yet.

    Edit: Apparently, he does have a place in the Trump Administration. We live in the dumbest country.

  15. I think if Burnett released everything and what was on those tapes was worse than anyone imagined it wouldn’t move the needle at all.

    Now? It might make him more popular with his base.

    In a year from now after Murdoch and crew have raked hold and re-shaped TikTok? the tapes will be sliced and perfected and released with pride.

I was a post production assistant on one of the seasons of The Apprentice, and the thing people need to realize is that if these tapes exist, it would be extremely hard to find the exact moment Trump mumbled something racist. It’s really difficult for most people to understand how many hours and hours and tapes and tapes of footage there are for a show like The Apprentice.

    For Burnett to know exactly where these moments occur, it would take a field producer 20 years ago (with the clairvoyance to know to keep track of any potential dirt to detail Trump’s future presidential hopes) to have written down on an actual piece of paper, the date/time he said such a thing and for this paper to still exist. You’d then need to be able to cross reference this timecode note with a tape library database that’s 20 years old to then be able to find the specific tape (likely digital-beta, a lost format at this point) thats one of hundreds in a storage facility (probably in Burbank, not Idaho, btw) not to mention that if you got to this point, you might realize that the tape only recorded audio with a camera mic and you can’t really hear it, and you’d need to find the separate lav mic audio on Trump which would then have to be tracked down by even more difficult means.

    This is all to say that unless you have a large team of people scanning thousands of hours of raw tape footage and audio, no one is ever going to get that footage, including Mark Burnett.

    These lost Apprentice tapes, IMO or more of a myth of like a treasure chest at the bottom of the ocean. I’m sure the producer who heard him say this stuff is telling the truth. But the idea that Mark Burnett has real access to these “tapes” is extremely far-fetched.

We are literally years into this transformation into authoritarian bliss. Anyone that has ANYTHING AT ALL that could damage him and hasn’t released it by now can fuck all the way off.

  30. I watched the show when I was a kid, I liked it initially but my family made fun of me because “that guys an idiot”

    Cut to present day and they all worship the guy like he’s the second coming. So he wasn’t good enough for entertainment purposes but sure he’ll definitely save this country.

    My family isn’t very intelligent
