  1. “The episode sees Marge revisit her nostalgia for a Dawson’s Creek-esque ’90s teen drama as Lisa raids her mom’s closet for vintage threads with the help of fashion-forward classmates”

    Ugh

  2. The voices have gotten absolutely brutal over the last couple of seasons, which makes sense for how long they’ve been doing it. Who is this for at this point?

  3. Matt Groening, never someone who had something to say about politics….

    /S

  4. You guys don’t have a mission statement anymore. You guys have completely lost the plot. Good god put the horse out of its misery.

  5. Ah, yes, because the Simpsons has never political. It’s not like there’s episodes where Sideshow Bob runs for mayor, Homer strikes with his union for a dental plan, or the teacher’s strike. That never happened. /s

Fucking hell, let the show die man. The voices are so hard to listen to. Especially poor Marge’s VA, Julie Kavner. You can tell doing that voice for nearly 40 years has really damaged her vocal cords.

  6. Can’t wait for The Simpsons to dive into the world of Instagram advertising.

  7. “We are just here for the money and lack any convictions or morals to speak out for basic humanity.”

But to their credit, they are being honest about it.

  8. It makes me genuinely sad that this show is still on the air and I feel nothing but apathy towards it. Haven’t had the desire to watch an episode in literally decades. That’s insane, and as a massive fan of what it once was, incredibly depressing.

Now, imagine if it had ended after season 9 and been able to do a revival or two with fresh ideas. That could have been something!

  9. Being political was literally foundational to the golden age of the Simpsons. But fine, do you.

  10. Simpsons doesn’t have the same turnaround speed something like Southpark does so if they tried to be topical it would likely be outdated by the time it aired.

  11. This is on fox don’t expect what south park did

  12. Yeah because they are too focused on predicting the future

  13. And yet Groening etc spent most of the San Diego Comic Con panel moaning about current politics

  14. I would love to see hank hills opinion on trump in the new seasons of koth. No way he would vote for a reality star/ new york real estate mogul. Would love for him to say “he said he would grab a woman by her…. Whhhhat!”

  15. Of course. This show has always been about addressing future politics

  16. The Simpsons are only on episode 800? Wow I thought they blew past that by now

  17. I’m ok with this. Not everything has to address what’s going on all the time.

  18. Mr. Groening. STOP. Your show is becoming a nuisance. STOP. If you do not cease, I will be forced to pursue legal action. STOP.

  19. I mean, they’ve been predicting this since the 80s. They’re probably like, “I’m tired boss”

  20. They address future politics. They’ll have a flash forward of 2030 or some shit and it’ll come true.

  21. And that’s why the Simpson’s hasn’t been relevant for a decade.
