Now, this one 🙄

I mean, c'mon, guys, you can't be serious! It's already pain in the ass to get a job once you get "too old" for the employer (ie. 50+), and you made everything to let it become so. But then you come to say that if we don't manage to get a job, it's somehow purely our fault, and we should get a "motivational" kick like losing the jobless allowance after 2 years. All while saying that we're waaaaay too young to get retired. There's a moment you should try to get consistent with your Weltanschauung and come out to fully explain it to us, dummy people who feel not old enough to get retired but fully pissed off from not getting hired because of the age. What's your next move? Privatising the social help too and send people to beg to charities like in the US? What I know for sure (it's a usual right-wing feature by now) is that you're gonna easily find the money to build new prisons the day the consequences of your choices become too much of a problem.

  1. He is a secret agent from the NVA sent to destroy the Open VLD. Some other people on their payroll include Lachaert, De Bleeckere and, De Croo.

  3. Somebody should tell him to never go full retard. Open VLD will go below 5%

  4. In Belgium, it feels like the only form of liberalism anyone knows is neoliberalism. I’d give a lot for a social-democratic liberal party that grounds its policies in hard data and solid scientific evidence, instead of tired left-right populist squabbles or serving as water carriers for lobby groups and the wealthy.

Someone like Bouchez is anything but a liberal, right? Heading into local elections with ideas like no-go zones for French citizens, cameras to ‘detect’ so-called undesirable behavior, wanting to ban a non-existent organised group like Antifa – in short, trying to muzzle anyone who says something he doesn’t like. And then the constant droning on about ‘the left’ on top of it.

And the Flemish ‘liberals’ are all too eager to emulate him, blending neoliberalism with populist posturing. With Maurits we already saw the writing on the wall.

The new Flemish liberal party? Same as the old one, time for OpenVLD to die.

  7. Disagree but I understand he needs a story to get voters. If a few % of right wing voters think this is a good idea, he might get more votes than VLD is currently polling

  8. When did you ever see neoliberals showing some form of consistency except in helping the rich aka themselves to get richer?

  9. I don’t like the VDAB. Every time I was out of a job I found one myself in a month or so.

I don’t need them for anything and I dreaded followup meetings where I had to present my interviews and which companies I applied to. Once it took longer than a month and they sent me on a ‘how to do an interview’ training. I know how to do interviews but oh no I had to go. The level of that training was dress in a shirt and say thank you and give a firm handshake.

Can anyone tell me when the VDAB had a positive influence on their job search?

Maybe they became better since I went last but I have my doubts.
