For the second time since last year. Did not quite make it. But it doesn't matter. Everything is just so beautiful and the landscape is breathtaking. I have never been to a forest like Rothiemurchus before.

This is my third vacation spent in Scotland and the second one in Aviemore.
You Scots are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful country. Believe me.

  3. Speaking with some experience of striking out cross country in Scotland, it’s sometimes worth your while to just ford a river if it’s not too deep and the current isn’t too strong. Socks in boots. Boots round your neck. Britches in rucksack

    Bridges? We don need no steenkeen bridges

    (But you may need a signal on your smartphone, or a map and compass. Scotland is very often cloud zero, and looks absolutely nothing like your lovely photos)
