The Billionaire who spends her time hating on people, is now talking about how hard it for her to be so hateful, that people hate her and how Emma Watson will never know how hard it is for the Billionaire to being poor. The Billionaire wants us to understand she knows what its like for us peasants, while smoking cigars and drinking brandy and tweeting about how much she hates LGBTQ people.

Come everyone lets have sympathy for the billionaire who is having really hard time of it, on her Super Yacht.

    The crux of her (JKs) point is that she, JK, was once poor and relied on welfare and a women’s shelter (fact), that Emma has never experienced that level of poverty (fact), that an agenda that allows biological males into traditional women-only spaces may make some biological women uncomfortable (fact), and that thanks to Emma’s own wealth she will never have to experience anything that is not her own private space and therefore biological male free, if she chooses (fact).

    Read JKs tweet yourself (don’t take my summarisation as gospel) and make your own mind up.

    Rowling responds as we’ve come to expect from her, spitting venom and bile, making unnecessary personal jabs because of a *perceived* slight a few years ago.

    Perhaps the hatred here lies in Watson spending years as a vocal and successful advocate for feminism around the world, who is well liked and respected by many. Whereas Rowling’a brand of “feminism” is obsessed with excluding people who don’t fit Rowling’s definition of a woman and spewing hatred, lies and bitterness at every possibility.

  35. Disagree with Rowling all you want but she’s right. Watson has been a multimillionaire since she was 12. Sure, Rowling is Scrooge McDuck levels of wealthy now but she didn’t get that way until she was in her 30s or 40s.

    Im pretty sure she was in a woman’s shelter from an abusive husband at one point too.

    She has more experience of the real world than Watson

  38. She does a very good job of hiding behind and maintaining the myth that she is a victim of merely sharing her opinion on Twitter. She is a financial backer of an organisation whose only goal is to fight against trans rights. She uses her wealth and advantages to fight against those who don’t have such an advantage. That’s not merely having an opinion. That’s fairly aggressive proactive action to remove something you don’t like through political influence. Maybe the BBC, in interest of balanced reporting, should remember to give people all the facts on a situation and not just print the unchecked rantings of the Queen of Mumsnet.

Are they not allowed an opinion? Are they gagged because they used to work with her?

    JKR is just another very rich person who thinks her wealth gives her a right to pontificate. Far too many of the super wealthy think they have something worth saying outside their area of expertise when they don’t but if they indulge themselves this way they should not be surprised if it attacks some flak.

    She also does not see the irony of saying ““Emma Watson and her co-stars have every right to embrace gender identity ideology. Such beliefs are legally protected, and I wouldn’t want to see any of them threatened with loss of work, or violence, or death, because of them.” and then complaining when they do. It seems JKR is not open to anyone she worked with responding negatively to her public rants.

    I bet if Watson agreed with her she would be praising her from the rooftops. JKR comes across as an ungracious hypocrite.
