The Kremlin has warned that the use of long-range US Tomahawk missiles by Ukraine, against targets in Russia, could mean that American soldiers are directly involved in the war.
JD Vance, the US vice-president, told Fox News that President Trump was considering Kyiv’s request for the cruise missiles, with a range of 1,550 miles that would easily put Moscow in Ukraine’s crosshairs
No it wouldn’t. If Russia actually attacked US in response to this that would certainly bring them into the war.
No, Russia reacting towards the US would bring the US into war
Russia: “supply arms to our enemy and you are war with us!”
Also Russia : ” Iran and China are not at war with Ukraine. Don’t be absurd. They just provide arms and components to Russia. “
Every shipment of military equipment delivered to Ukraine from NATO countries has made Russia more eager and less capable of attacking NATO, does anyone think it’s better to trust that they won’t attack us than to know that they can’t attack us?
The Russians have said a lot, they won’t do anything.
They dont want western arms going to Ukraine, but even more than that, they don’t want direct conflict. It would be disastrous for them.
Western nations should send Ukraine everything we’ve got, and should have done so some time ago.
Just like giving HIMARs would be crossing a red line, and giving tanks would be crossing a red line, and giving F-16s would be crossing a red line.
It’s a bit silly for Russia to still pretend that anyone takes their red lines as anything more than a tired joke. Putin is the clown and Russia is the circus.
Iran, North Korea, and China all provide arms to Russia. Goose and gander situation, Pootie.
I believe this must be between the 19th to 47th time I’ve heard this phrase from Russian officials
I guess we will just find out at this rate. Seems NATO is happy to push the envelope, lets see what breaks the camel’s back.
No it wouldn’t. And we are already involved by proxy.
Russia literally used NK troops to defend its own soil it was spread so thin.
Russia couldn’t survive if Finland invaded right now
Basically every single thing the US has done to help Ukraine, Putin has said it would bring the US into direct war with Russia, and that has not happened yet
They will warn and scare opponents and prey all the time, like any bully does.
Uh huh.
With a near complete standstill on the frontlines, mounting attacks that are crippling Russian energy infrastructure, and a building economic crisis, I get the feeling Russia is getting closer to snapping. Putin’s political survival and the Russian economy as a whole are now too invested in this war to accept anything other than a win, even if that’s becoming increasingly impossible. Their only direction is escalation.
I would not be surprised if they start dropping tactical nukes on Ukraine in the near future out of desperation for some battlefield gains.
You know, if it does, I’m good with that.
But north Korean and Chinese troops wouldn’t bring them into the war. Russians are worried trump is going cold on them and losing grip over him.
Putins red lines are less credible than Obamas and they were very much not credible
Using Chinese made drones bring China into the war
They say all kinds of BS.
I don’t think this going to happen, not soon anyway: Afaik the only available launch systems for tomahawks currently are US, UK, and AUS navy warships. Ground based launch systems were decommissioned in 1987. Would it be possible to create make-shift launch systems that could work? Maybe – but I don’t think there’s a quick and easy way to get this up and running. It will take time, effort and resources – resources that could be spent on solutions with a quicker, more clear return on investment.
I have a hard time believing that no advisor has brought up the launcher problem in negotiations. I suspect talking about supplying tomahawks might be more about symbolically communicating a shift in US policy, and that they are now willing to supply systems and allow targets that have been off-limits until now, and there are other weapons that can be supplied, e.g. JASSM, that can be launched from existing platforms (F16s).
Will it make a difference to the Kremlin whether it is this or that type of weapon? Who knows, but they make such threats after any announcement of a new western system that might be supplied to Ukraine. IIRC they said the exact same thing when F16 deliveries were announced.
Russia is attacking, raping and murdering Ukrainian civilians (women, children, men, boys, everyone) on a grand scale, on a daily basis. Committing war crimes and genocide. Who the hell listens to such ‘nation’.?
Send the whole arsenal and more!
Is this the same Kremlin that has been insisting that the West has been at war with them the whole time? lol
Boston is a long ways away but you could blow up the World and relax for good too.
Oh no. The minor power led by the mob and fielding cave people is Sabre rattling again. Shaking in my boots.
Why are russian propaganda statements something that deservers talking about? Why is this of any interest to us?
