I’ve been trying to catch them ever since it came into service, but I’ve had no luck until the other day when I realised I was on a refurbished train.

I was meant to get off at Leytonstone, but I decided to stay until the end, which was Hainault. Luckily I took some pics when I did as the doors closed straight after.

  1. Seeing how they’re being refurbished it looks like these shitboxes will stay in service for quite some time.

  2. at this rate based on TfL’s own pattern all Central Line trains will be complete by 2090 🙂

  3. I always have a moment when stepping on one of these when I wonder whether I’m on the right line even though I know I’ve done what I always do in terms of getting trains. They just feel wrong.

  4. Apart from being clean (and that’s a BIG thing), what’s the difference with a bog-standard Central Line train?

  5. Rarer to see an empty carriage on the central line.

  6. One that’s not covered in graffiti like a train from Gotham city. Excellent!

  7. not looking forward to the digitification of the ads tbh, bill boards are destracting enough !

  8. What a waste of good money that could’ve gone towards a driver’s pay rise /s

  9. I know it is terrible for daily travelers, I know it smells, I know there is no oxygen in there.
But I also know I would love to be in there and travel to my home or to a park in London.

People love weird things and I understand them deeply.

  10. Chavs will be out soon enough to vandalise these too with their shit ‘artwork’. Tip: practice on your shit or house first before transitioning to public areas.
