At a side event on Myanmar during the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Finland’s Minister of Education, Anders Adlercreutz, underlined his country’s commitment to supporting Myanmar’s younger generations.
Speaking on behalf of Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture, Adlercreutz stressed the importance of empowering youth through education and inclusion in democratic processes. He said Finland stands ready to work with international partners to ensure that Myanmar’s youth, in all their diversity, have a role in shaping a peaceful and democratic future.
The UN General assembly brought together representatives from various countries and organizations to among other things discuss challenges and opportunities facing Myanmar. Finland has consistently emphasized the significance of education and equal participation as part of its foreign policy and cooperation at the United Nations.
