The airport in Brennesund, Norway, suspended operations due to an unknown drone incursion on September 30, NRK reported.

Police in Norway responded to reports of drones near Brønnøysund Airport, with the airport tower spotting the drone at 9:50 p.m. Despite a search by local authorities, no pilot was located, and the operation was called off.

According to Karolina Persen, press secretary for Avinor, the company that manages Norwegian airports, despite the incident, the last scheduled flight managed to land at Brønnøysund Airport, accroding to NRK.

This incident follows similar reports on September 28 when a drone within the no-fly zone led to the diversion of a Widerøe flight.

Despite the disruption, the last flight landed as scheduled, and the airport resumed operations the next morning, according to Avinor’s (company that manages Norwegian airports) spokesperson Karoline Persen, NRK wrote.

Previously, Norwegian police were investigating a reported drone sighting near Equinor’s Sleipner gas field in the North Sea.
