  8. Shockingly the very serious men who’ve dedicated their lives to the military aren’t big fans of the draft dodger who’s insulted them all multiple times.

  11. They are trained and required to not applaud political statements. I got bad news for anyone who thinks the military isn’t going to go along with whatever orders they are given. Well more than half the brass there is fully on board with Trump’s agenda.

  20. The fact trump dodged the draft 5 times and that Kesworth couldn’t be less qualified for his job was probably seething through their veins. These very serious military leaders of our country were used for a photo op. I fucking hate this administration even more than I did a couple of days ago.

  30. Loyalty to the Constitution

    The United States boldly broke with the ancient military custom of swearing loyalty to a leader. Article VI required that American Officers thereafter swear loyalty to our basic law, the Constitution.

    While many other nations have suffered military coups, the United States never has. Our American Code of Military Obedience requires that, should orders and the law ever conflict, our officers must obey the law. Many other nations have adopted our principle of loyalty to the basic law.

    This nation must have military leaders of principle and integrity so strong that their oaths to support and defend the Constitution will unfailingly govern their actions. The purpose of the United States Military Academy is to provide such leaders of character.

  33. The burning and seething resentment from the military that knew full well he was a draft dodger must have been absolutely, deliciously *palpable.*

  34. Donald Trump is trying to re-create authoritarian situations that he has witnessed from communist countries. For example he wanted a military parade like the Chinese have and instead got a half assed military parade with a squeaky tank rolling by and no one applauding. Now he wants to have all of his military generals show up and kiss his ass like they do in North Korea. I’m sure you’ve seen a clip from one of the North Korean military gatherings. Anything Kim Jung Un says They all smile from ear to ear and clap incessantly. I truly think that that’s what Trump was expecting to happen with this meeting. He wants to be one of those communist dictators so badly, but it is not working for him.

  37. Does he imagine them to be a bunch of drunken Texas oil men, or crooked coastal business guys celebrating all the trouble they can get up to in government?

    He really is just a colossal idiot.

    Also the same the guy that has repeatedly called fallen soldiers losers and refused to be seen at their ceremonies. That alone is a behavior so bizarre it’s hard to imagine anyone else ever being this fucking lacking in self-awareness.

  42. If those generals had any hair on their balls, they would go to the American people with their concerns that they are being given unconstitutional orders by their commander in chief.
