Guangzhou-based carmaker XPeng said on Wednesday it has officially entered Lithuania, five months after it announced expansion to the European country.
The brand will be available through a distribution agreement with Modus Group, which will also be responsible for sales and after-sales services in Latvia and Estonia.
Modus Group, a major automotive distributor in the region, also represents brands such as Porsche, Bentley, BMW, Alfa Romeo and Cupra.
XPeng is entering the Baltic country with the first iteration of its G6 and G9 SUVs.
According to its website, the G6 is priced from €43,500 ($50,800), while the most expensive G9’s prices start at €59,900 ($69,900).
Lithuania becomes the 21st European country and the 50th global market where XPeng is now available.
The company is now just 10 markets away from reaching its expansion goal in 2025 — which is to double its presence to 60 markets.
Last week, the company entered three other European markets — Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia — through Hungarian group AutoWallis and Salvador Caetano (which also represents the brand in Portugal).
XPeng also officially launched in Switzerland in early September, through the local distributor ‘Hedin Mobility Group,’ which also represents the company in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
The brand’s lineup in the Old Continent includes the G6 and G9 SUVs across several European markets, with remaining inventory of the previous-generation P7 sedan available in older markets.
The new P7, launched in China in August, debuted at the IAA Auto Show in Munich in early September. However, the model was not confirmed as available for European markets in the near future.
The company is expanding its offerings with new models next year, including the Mona series — its top seller in China — and the P7+ sedan — which it describes as the world’s first AI-defined vehicle.
Its expansion in Europe also includes a new R&D center in Munich and the start of local production in Austria, with Magna Steyr.
On Wednesday, XPeng announced that it delivered 41,581 vehicles in September.
From January 1 to September 30, the Guangzhou-based brand has completed 82.4% of its annual guidance of 380,000 units.
