DUP worried about safety

  1. I dont get why they dont use this Irish language act to also get Ulster Scots slapped up everywhere. Use it as something to promote their own culture instead of just using it as something to slap down someone elses.

  2. So instead of saying no to intimidating behaviour and providing leadership to try and stamp out these bitter twisted thugs that might cause safety problems for these workers, they just accept it and by not standing against it, they are in fact encouraging it and stoking the fire. This has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with stamping their own sectarian backwards colonial stamp on everyone else.

I’ve only ever seen these people do everything they can to deny people of this place, I never see them actually doing anything positive.

Waste of space and are in a constant state of raging because they are in the minority now.

  3. So have the DUP just publicly acknowledged that there is an issue with violent Loyalists fueled by sectarian hate ?!?

  4. Staff are constantly attacked in nationalist areas for having English language on their uniforms.

  5. Sinn Fein: “The sky isn’t going to fall in when this policy is approved”.

Also Sinn Fein: “The North Of Ireland.

  6. I’m guessing the parts of the city were staff think they might get abuse in are no doubt DUP voting areas.

Instead of doing their jobs as councillors, MLAs and Mps and talking to those communities after a democratic vote..they would rather do this.

There isn’t an actual days work in these lazy bastards!

  7. “The words are attacking our eyes”

“We don’t understand them so we don’t like it”

  8. Loyalists are intimidating loyalists

Here’s why Sinn Féin are to blame

  9. If someone attacks you for wearing some Irish on your clothing blame the scum that attacks, not the language itself. Genuine victim blaming mentality

  10. The Loyalist council workers and Loyalists on the streets will be planning fake attacks on themselves and doing damage to council property. Watch this space!

  11. The DUP, a party who *make it a habit* of calling other people abominations are expecting us to show them a level of empathy that they, by definition, are incapable of feeling themselves.

  12. Such a shame the DUP aren’t able to open a line of communication with these anti-social elements in certain parts of the city and reason with them.

  13. Unionist bigotry as always.

Some bullshit excuse or threat (I’m assuming this is a call to some form of violence).

  14. Hilarious. They’re worried about the safety of people from their own voters, since only unionists will resort to violence over this complete non-issue.

But no, instead we get to listen to these alt-right cunts prattle on about how they are supposedly victims of the big, bad push for Irish language equality. I can’t imagine being so fucking weak-minded that the native language of a country being displayed in a public space in that country is enough to drive me to the brink of tears.

It’s literally an admission of fear of human rights, which tells you everything you need to know about this lot and their supporters.

  15. “We contacted the DUP to express our fears that unionists will attack us.”

  16. Won’t be a word about it in a years time. The tide is coming in around the bigots.
