WANA (Oct 01) – Referring to the U.S.’s new sanctions on Iran as part of activating the snapback mechanism, the U.S. Secretary of State claimed, “We will block all of Iran’s paths to a nuclear weapon.”
“Marco Rubio,” the U.S. Secretary of State, wrote on the social media platform X on Wednesday evening: “The United States is imposing sanctions under the snapback mechanism on 44 entities and 17 individuals said to be linked to Iran’s nuclear and military programs.”

In a statement, the U.S. Treasury claimed: “In support of the automatic reinstatement of U.N. Security Council sanctions on Iran, the U.S. Treasury is sanctioning 21 entities and 17 individuals in networks that facilitate the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics’ access to sensitive goods and technologies.”
