Thought it was to become a mosque, sponsored by that bellend Asif Aziz
Definitely more fitting for the space and area than another “windowless hotel”.
I just had an idea! How about they turn it into an Arcade and indoor theme park and make it a beloved entertainment venue for the general public in London?
Nah, who am I kidding, that would never work!
Not pumped about the Casino bit, but at least there’ll be a new restaurant there.
Just hope it’s not another Angus Steakhouse like joint.
How many casinos do they need in this area?
Got dragged to the Trocadero every summer holiday. It would always be at the end of a long day too. The sweet shop made it worthwhile and also not seeing my kids for an hour or so. Wish it had just been updated. It was a kids paradise.
Cant see the attendees of the new Mosque in there being too happy about that!! What with gay capital round the corner, going to be interesting to watch!!
I’m still shocked (well not that shocked) when I realised The Rainforest Cafe has closed down.
Perfect timing. 1.4m out of an adult population of approximately 52m is disgusting.
It’ll still be another soulless piece of shit that slowly destroys the soul of London, like everything else Asif touches. Fuck that guy.
Why can’t they just bring Trocadero back? There was no point of it sitting as a relic even at the time being. Sega’s fallen off, so of course we can’t bring Segaworld back. But can’t they just get some other billion-dollar gaming company like Sony or Nintendo to sponsor it and promote whatever new technology/games they have?
It’s not like there’s a lack of demand anymore– this generation has more casual gamers than ever. If done right, I’d say it has a better chance of surviving longer than any old casino or restaurant, which is especially clear given the rising demand for non-alcoholic, fun, social spaces.
And plus, I’m tired of hearing millennials/gen x gloat about how they got to experience it in its prime. We want something to brag about too😩
Feel sorry for teens these days
Bring back Sega world
Did the hotel get built or did that fall through? I miss the arcade.
A casino? And restaurant? In the West End?

Didn’t they say it would be a mosque. Was that rage bait

Turn it into an Angus MegaSteakhouse.
