I know they are harmless but they give me the ick. I have put lavender scents in my wardrobe so that place is safe but i want them to be gone FULLLLY! What do you people do to get rid of them from every spot. I have wooden flooring (mdf boards,if that helps)

Pretty common
They’re a sign that your place is clean and eat your epidermis and even some molds, so they make it even cleaner. Not trying to argue if you still want them out, just noting.
Very common, just get glue traps made for them at your local supermarket. Got rid of them very fast for me (and surprisingly no spiders or anything were caught in it)
Pet one.
Look for end portal
If you want to get rid of them, you need to keep your floors clean from dust and dry. They love wet floors in the bathroom. If you have old carpets, deep clean them or just throw them away.
I had those in literally every single apartament that I occupied. Just move along and let them clean stuff while you sleep
They are good bugs. Ugly, but good. They are not like cockroaches. Love them, pet them. My wife afraid them, but I am doing my best to not kill them if possible. Just move them to the wardrobe or something 😅
Try adding some spiders to your flat/house. Spiders eat those guys.
they common, i dont worry about them, just kill on sight becose if you dont there can be little too many of them 😛
They are very common. My cat is now old and significantly more lazy, so my main weapon against them is much less effective ;P I have tried some feromone traps (not very effective) and Bros spray (“na pluskwy I rybiki cukrowe”) – much better effects, but I am not sure if you can use it on wooden floor (I sprayed it mostly in the bathroom). However – I think it is hard to get rid of them completely if you live in an apartment building (they come from other apartments/common parts of the building and no one will care about the pest control because of harmless silverfish). So – befriend them or get yourself a cat 😀
well we have this classic pasta about them
I actually think they’re really cute. Used to see them a lot in the house I lived in when I was a kid. Haven’t seen one in about eight years and I kind of miss them!
As long as they don’t get into places that you occupy like cutlery drawers or bedroom, you can leave them be. They eat soap, dead skin and stuff like that.
Lol, they are everywhere, and it doesn’t matter what you do they will always find a way to come back.
They are common, harmless and useful.
They are our little bathroom friends.
I didnt had anything against them, untill i saw 2 of them in bowl on my kitchen counter. I dont like having same thing on bathroom floor and on surfaces I make food.
Aww… very cute! Why not name them?
If you don’t like them, try buying cedar shelves, cloves, or cinnamon. They apparently don’t like the smell of these items.
yeah, they are very common
The best way is to order spraying from pest control people. It costs a few hundred zlotys. You’ll probably need to repeat it.
From what I’ve seen they shouldn’t be leaving wet rooms like bathrooms and toilets. Also, if you see them it means you don’t sleep properly, since they are active at night.
I’d even seen one in my old school’s bathroom
just learn to love them 😉
Very common, harmless and cute. I think they mostly eat the dead skin etc present in dust, and some parasites.
In the US I’ve seen these where I lived in CA and the northeast
Fun fact: silverfish can live up to 10 years.
Honestly these guys are pretty nice bugs to keep around. They’re harmless unless you have lots of books (I heard they eat the pages slowly over time)

silverfish are pests and can eat stuff like carpet, wallpaper etc. read more here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverfish
i have no idea what the commenters here have been smoking before
Not everywhere but yeah, had an opportunity to have them in a place I rented, other than finding them dead in my cupboard they weren’t really much of a problem. They just chilling under the corner board thingies and under the washing machines. Of all things to have in your home they are pretty good.
Very common this time of year, they are friendly and eat a lot of bad things 🙂
They eat mold, fungi and small bugs so they love living in like every bathroom. Unless you don’t clean at all, unlikely to get like infestation of them, 1 or 2 big will spawn even in the cleanest one and crawl out at night especially to clean your fluor a little bit. They can hide anywhere too, from under the sink to small holes in wooden doors
I decided to keep some of them as pets in a kitchen container in my bathroom. They’ve been there for a few months and are now reproducing. No care required.
They are friends so you don’t feel lonely when going for a midnight piss.
Just get used to it and ignore.
Silverfish are cute don’t get rid of them
Almost impossible to get rid of them. Let them be. They are harmless.
If a house touches the ground in any place in the northern hemisphere, it’s got silverfish in it. They may guve you the ick, but they’re harmless, ckean your house and have a massive plus you’re not considering: they aren’t cockroaches.
Yes. They love my bathroom which makes no sense wtf are they surviving on.
Super common, has them in just about every apartment. The first one I lived in, the wspólnota wanted to eradicate them but to do that every one had to let the guys that kill bugs in and some people didn’t so they came back. I prefer them over bedbugs or roaches
I hated them and killed hundreds of them and was afraid that its only my problem and i don’t clean well. Now I used silicon to block all holes in the bathroom and I see a lot less of them.
But after reading this thread, maybe I ll chill out
Harmless, not counting that one time when I went to take a piss at night and it crawled on my leg, and I literally pissed myself.
