When it comes to travelling in India, you are bound to find one or more videos on the internet, describing the country as a beautiful place except for the litter problem, commenting how people lack the civic sense to not litter on the streets and more. Now, an Indian man in South Korea shared a video on Instagram, questioning why only Indians were questioned about the civic sense of littering. The user @subtle_crazykorea, showed litter scattered in public areas and questioned why civic sense is treated as an issue only when Indians are concerned.”Civic sense yahan bhi lagu hone chahiye, yahan bhi dekh kitni gandagi hai,” said the man in the video showing the streets of South Korea littered with boxes and paper all around. He added that the only difference in the situation was that the litter would be quickly cleaned in South Korea, whereas it wouldn’t be in India.”When Indians are caught littering abroad, it quickly becomes a commentary on our culture. But here I saw Koreans and Americans doing the same and nobody questions their civic sense,” he added claiming that he could show video of them littering around the streets.

The streets generally get cleaned up and is maintained till the next weekend, whereas we never clean up the streets and the trash just increases,” wrote a person in the comments.”Yep, compare 10% of other countries with 90% of India and feel proud about yourself,” pointed out one.”Bhai India ka civic sense kaise bhi justify nahi kar paaoge… It’s multi-dimensionally bad 🥲” added another.
