Meghan Markle's close friend of over two decades, Kelly McKee Zajfen, has revealed just how deep the pair's bond goes in a sweet Instagram post. During a Q&A with followers on her Instagram Stories, Kelly was asked about her long-lasting friendship with the Duchess of Sussex. The former model wrote on Instagram: "I've actually known her for almost 20 years? She even came to my wedding (15 years ago!), and she's been the most amazing, nurturing, fun, loving human. She's been by my side, especially since Georgie died, and I cherish our friendship very much."

Her son died in 2022 at 9 years old of Covid and viral meningitis, just devastating 🙁

  1. Hope not to get downvoted for this and this isn’t anything against OP but the use of the term “secretly” here creeps me a bit.

    Maybe it’s the overuse of it in media when it comes to donations/PR.

    Like is there any other way to support a friend over a death? Was there ever an expectancy for her to make public she is helping her friend who doesn’t seem to be very famous to begin with and publicize the death of a small child?

    I don’t understand though why this is called “secretly” supporting. Do we expect everyone to perform their every intimate moment in friendship on social media now?

  6. Meghan was invited to her wedding. Weird she didn’t return the gesture as it sounds they go way back and are good friends. Nice to see long term friendships as we all know as adults how hard it is to maintain friends. It takes effort and committment to build a coummunity around you that you want.

  9. Meghan also supported her at her friend’s tennis match charity fundraiser last year I think. So I’m not so sure it’s secret as Meghan has been consistently supporting her throughout the years

  10. It’s not secretly, she just has normal relationships with people. Every interaction they have is not going to be in the news. We forget that they are people too.
