Ipswich 3-1 Norwich

The long, long wait for Ipswich Town is over.

A run of 16 years and 14 derbies without a win is at an end.

Town went ahead through Cedric Kipre’s thunderous finish from a corner and although Oscar Schwartau’s deflected volley levelled things soon after, Jaden Philogene’s blockbuster strike from range put the hosts back infront on the stroke of half-time.

Town spurned good chances to add to their lead after the break but Jack Clarke came off the bench to tap home a rebound late-on with his first touch to secure the three points which takes Town into ninth and leaves Norwich 19th.

it’s Town’s 44th win in East Anglian derbies, which is now one more than their bitter rivals.

A day to remember for the home fans, one to forget for the Canaries.
