Narinder Kaur admitted she sometimes “feels sorry” for Kate Middleton, as she drew a comparison between the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, turned heads at Paris Fashion Week, attending a Balenciaga show in two striking custom looks. For her first appearance, the former Suits actress wore a crisp white button-down shirt paired with wide-leg trousers, topped with a dramatic white cape draped elegantly over her shoulders.

Later, she changed into a sleek black dress featuring a cape detail over her left shoulder, completing the ensemble with pointed black heels. On X, Good Morning Britain panelist Narinder shared a side-by-side image of Meghan’s all-white outfit and a photo of Kate in a gold gown from the state banquet held in honour of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Kate’s dress, designed by British couturier Phillipa Lepley, featured a full-length, hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace evening coat layered over a silk crepe gown.

Assessing the two images, Narinder praised Meghan for bringing authenticity to the Royal Family, making her more relatable, especially to younger generations. In contrast, she expresses sympathy for Kate, suggesting that marrying young and royal tradition has forced her into outdated, unrelatable fashion.

She wrote: “Anna Wintour said Meghan brings ‘modernity’ to the Royal family and I totally agree – Meghan is not only more relatable but also her authentic self.

“I can’t help but feel sorry for Kate sometimes; she was young when she married William and never really had any independence or time to be her true self… and then tradition demands her to dress decades older than she is – in this fuddy-duddy fashion- younger generations just switch off, how can they relate?”

But several fans disagreed with this view as one commented: “Kate is classic. Timeless. She will be forever like Diana. Meghan will fade as most modern trends do.”

Hitting out at Meghan, another said: “How is Markle at all relevant to the royal family? Remember Megxit? She’s no longer part of the RF, so the only thing she brings to it is annoyance.”

A third posted: “Kate is going to be our queen. I don’t want to relate. I want someone ethereal.”

Another declared: “Kate is beauty, class and royalty. Markle is not.”

Others agreed with Narinder as one wrote: “Kate always looks like she is wearing hand me downs from Queen Elizabeth.” Another shared: “So true Narinder, Meghan looked amazing, a look of chic and sophistication!”
