The Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden welcomed a delegation from the Ethnic Council of Vietnam’s National Assembly during its working visit to Stockholm from 1 to 5 October 2025.

Led by Vice Chairman Nguyễn Lâm Thành, the delegation met with Swedish institutions to learn about Sweden’s policies on ethnic minorities, cultural preservation, and regional development. Meetings were held with the Committee on the Constitution of the Swedish Parliament, the Ministry of Culture, and research centres focused on the rights of the indigenous Sami people and other minority groups.

On 3 October, Vietnamese Ambassador Trần Văn Tuấn hosted the delegation at the embassy, where he shared updates on Vietnam–Sweden relations, particularly in education, social welfare, and sustainable development. Ambassador Tuấn affirmed the embassy’s commitment to facilitating cooperation and exchanges on ethnic affairs, social equity, and inclusive growth.

Both sides expressed appreciation for the open and constructive discussions, which strengthened parliamentary ties and paved the way for future collaboration between Vietnam and Sweden in promoting diversity, equality, and sustainable social development.
