And Senator Karina Villa is one of a handful of Democrats who has taken a defiant stance against Donald Trump’s anti-immigration policies. Of my skin, and we stand together against ICE, against these tactics. ICE’s methods are coming under heavy criticism, especially after this video of a woman in New York went viral. She begs officers not to take her husband away and is brutally thrown to the ground in front of her crying children. The officer who shoved her was eventually suspended. Some Democratic states are trying to regulate ICE operations following the example of California’s governor. I’ll be signing a bill first in the nation. Saying enough ICE unmask. What are you afraid of? Donald Trump is telling ICE agents to ignore the order and intensify raids in what he calls immigrant sanctuary cities run by Democrats. His latest target is Portland, where protesters and federal agents clash regularly outside the ICE building near Portland’s South waterfront.
