However, who would have ever thought that the sweet dessert would be the cure for headaches?In a post going viral on social media, an ice cream named ‘Paracetamol HTP 5OO MG’ is seen. According to the caption, the ice cream is an innovation by Dutch innovators and is infused with paracetamol. ‘Designed to make taking medicine a little sweeter, this unusual treat aims to help relieve headaches, mild pain, and fever — no pills required,’ said the caption.This unique idea combining science and creativity has people on the internet excited to try out the ice cream flavour once it hits the market. While some were baffled by the idea of such a flavour, others tried to come up with their own new ones.”Please tell me it is AI,” pleaded one person in the comments, surprised by the image of the ice cream.”Make a XANAX version” requested another.Those who were eager to try the flavour came up with humorous quips such as “So how many scoops is the correct amount to eat??!!!!,” and “2 scoops of paracetamol please”
Does the Netherlands really sell a Paracetamol-infused ice cream?

The post which has resurfaced on the internet and gone viral again, originally dates back to 2018. The fact-checking police on the internet have traced the ice cream back to a patisserie named Maddy, working at an establishment by the name of Nagelkerke.The unique flavour was created by the place as a centre of attention in a 2016 carnival in Holland. A one-time creation, it was never aimed for public sale and only public display. Additionally, concerns by the health authorities led to it being removed from the display immediately.There do exist some alternate explanations in the form of reports suggesting that the ice cream was developed as a “hangover cure.” It clearly did not pass the licensing criteria as paracetamol intake requires dosage monitoring.While it may not be a real and accessible flavour, the ice cream does make you want to book a ticket to the Netherlands, just to find a better and sweeter way of taking medicines.
