Law enforcement authorities in Kyiv have arrested a Moldovan citizen suspected of setting fire to trackside cabinets belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), Ukraine’s state-owned railway operator, on orders from the Russian secret services.

Quote: “On the instructions of a handler nicknamed Operator, the suspect was paid to destroy two relay cabinets controlling entry signals on Ukrzaliznytsia railway lines by setting them on fire. Payment for completing the task had been promised via a cryptocurrency wallet.”

Details: During a search, investigators also seized 100 grams of a white substance believed to be cocaine.

The investigators also found leather pouches and zip lock bags that were used to package and conceal drugs. The substance has been sent for forensic examination.
