South Korea captain Son Heung-min set another record as he started against Brazil in their international friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Friday.
With his 137th game for South Korea, Son surpassed Cha Bum-kun and Hong Myung-bo as the player with the most international appearances for their country.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has already broken several records, including being the highest goalscorer from Asia in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
After helping Spurs to the Europa League last season, their first trophy in 17 years, he moved to Major League Soccer and currently plays for Los Angeles FC.
Son made his senior international debut in December 2010 and has scored 53 goals. He was an integral part of the squad that reached the 2015 AFC Asian Cup final and also helped the U-23 side clinch the Asian Games gold medal in 2018.
